No More RAP Application Fee
12 Nov 2015

Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) students will no longer pay the $35 application fee, effective September 1st, 2015.

The exemption of no fee for Alberta high school students from the standard apprenticeship application fee is consistent with the Career and Technology Studies (CTS) Program which permits students to attempt an examination without fee after completing of CTS high school courses for advanced credit in a regular apprenticeship program. In addition, the elimination of the application fee supports Alberta Education’s Provincial Dual Credit Strategy which permits high school students to participate in postsecondary programs and/or workplace practicums while in school without associated tuition fees.
